WOD 4-25

We are gonna pick up the pace in this WOD with strength training using Resistance Bands
and alternating to some cardio exercise. I also suggest using a Interval Timer
to know when your cardio exercises are finished

Walking lunges x20

Suspended pushups to handstand pushups x as many as you can do (I did 6)

Face pulls x20

Wide Fly Suspended Pushups x20

Hey everyone sorry about not posting WOD’s last week. It was just one of those weeks where everything that could go wrong went and sickness crept into our household and knocks us all down. But I’m back with a vengeance and got killer W.O.D’s for you Here’s one for Monday I’ve been hitting it hard with kettlebells after reading Enter the Kettlebell!
Strength Secrets of the Soviet Supermen

For this workout all you will need is a Kettlebell
a set of Gymnastic Rings
and furniture Sliders

PReform Each exercise back to back, rest 1 minute after each exercise and repeat the circuit at least once.

Exercise 1: Sumo Depth Squats with high pull

Reps: 15

Exercise 2: Suit case deadlifts

Reps: 10 per side

Exercise 3: Kettlebell Swings

Reps: 20

Exercise 4: Handstand Pushups

Reps: 10

Exercise 5: Ring Dips

Reps: 12

Exercise 6: Slider Pushups

Reps: Till you can’t do anymore!

April 11th- “Strapped On and Ballz Out!”

This is a double circuit workout… Go through the first circuit which will be the with the suspension straps and move to the second that will use the medicine balls, then repeat that same sequence.

Equipment needed: Jungle Gym XT,Medicine Ball, Exercise Mat

Suspended Pushups :45 seconds

Face Pulls :45 seconds

Reach and Touches :45 seconds each arm

Walk Downs :45

Medicine Ball Lunges x10

Over Head Medicine Ball Slams x25

Med Ball Lunges x10

Wall Balls x20

Med Ball Lunges x10

Medicine Ball Cross Over Pushups x12

Repeat the circuit 2 times through! Life is better when your strong!

Workout of the Day April 10th, 2012

“The Guru’s Workout of the Day”

Here’s the workout for April 10th…

Circuit Workout- Each Exercise is to be done back to back with a 90 second rest at the end of each exercise for 4 rounds.

Equipment Needed:Medicine Ball
, Plyometric Box
(or any sturdy platform that you can jump on and off of), Exercise Mat

Exercise 1:Plyo Pushup

Reps: 8-10

Can be done from the knees, half plyo with clap, or full plyo feet and hands off the floor

Exercise 2: Medicine Ball Box Jumps

Reps: 20

Exercise 3: Medicine Ball Slams

Reps: 50 (25 over head + 25 from left and right angles)

Exercise 4: Wall Balls

Reps: 50

Do this for 4 rounds resting 90 seconds in between each round.
