I have been active my whole life and have been working out and training actively for the past 15 years. It wasn’t until I hit 30 that I took it seriously.
I grew up surfing and could pull an all-nighter, go surf, catch a quick nap, go to class, go to work, and do it all over again. Then I noticed that my abilities started to slip. I could surf as long and as hard. I liked playing pick up basketball, but I couldn’t go for more than a game maybe two. I taught physical education and my ninth graders could do more pull-ups than me! Being active and getting other to be active is my life
I knew something had to change. That when I started working out the right way. Most men workout to look good and women workout to feel good. I soon started to workout like a “woman”. I got into Crossfit
shortly after and was hooked. I now am in the best shape of my life. I’m at 10% body fat. I can run a mile on the beach in 7 minutes. I surf better than I have ever surfed in my life, play ball like it’s my job, and can do 15+ pull-ups.
I recently became a father and I want to make sure that I can always keep up with him. This is the main reason I started workoutguru.net. To share what I’m learning and how I workout for those who want to be their best.
I also teach group fitness classes at Rogue Fitness
here in Cabarete, Dominican Republic and am currently working on my personal training and nutrition certificates
through International Sports Science Association (ISSA)
I don’t take myself seriously, but I do take my fitness seriously. I hope that this website informs and most of all excites you to be the best you can be.
